Broad objectives of AT6FUI
The AT6FUI has evolved from the Action Team 6 (AT6) that was formed by the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) in 2007. Its 5 year mandate was to promote use of geospatial tools and technology for promoting public health. AT6FUI was formed to carry on the work after the formal dissolution of AT6 following the expiration of its mandate in 2012.
AT6FUI functions in the “open source/open community” model. There are no commercial interests for the group in developing technology or ideas. The basic intent is to make a useful contribution in the field of global health for the betterment of mankind. We welcome the participation of like-minded individuals, organizations and governments to in AT6FUI. The group includes representatives from UNOOSA as well as WHO. AT6FUI is currently chaired by Dr. Pascal Michel, Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC).
Our broad areas of interest are:
1. Geospatial tools for early warning and response for epidemic prevention (EWARS project including India, Germany, Canada)
2. Living labs project (South Africa, Germany)
3. Geospatial approaches to CKDu (El Salvador, Germany, Sri Lanka)
Highlights of meeting methodology

3. Geospatial approaches to CKDu
4. Technical track related to geospatial tool, technologies and approaches with a focus on open source resources
A given presentation can be included in more than one track, if the presentation author desires, and can justify the rationale based on the content of the presentation viz a viz the subject area covered by the track. The decision in this regard will be taken by the organizing committee, and all decisions are final.
