Open Capacity Building

Open Capacity Building is the next step of AT6FUI to continue the Community of Practise CoP. The Low Cost Conference Infrastructure is used to create minimal dependency on financial resources and maximize the access to knowlegde by utilizing the Wikiversity Infratstructure. The concept of Lifelong Learning incorporated into the concept of Capacity Buidling.

XBAD Extensible Bachelor Degree

The Extensible post-Bachelor Degree (XBAD) is a capacity building concept that requires a bachelor degree and builds on these skills. All students start with a proposal for a case study (One Health context) and the study plan is arrange around the necessary problem solving skills. XBAD is designed as a user-driven capacity buidling programme of Lifelong Learning.

Collaborative Development

A network of institutions are able to work collaborative on the development of content in Wikiversity. No publisher is involved that charges money for capacity building material. Quality assured snapshots of Wikiversity Content are published as reference version at University or Public Health Agencies while the Wikiversity content is still open for further improvement. Earning Badges & Certificates

Students can earn Badges after successfully passed assessments after courses. Earning and issuing Badges is implemented as Redundant Multi Channel Open Badges System that allows a Lifelong Validation Process on multiple validation channels. If digital cryptographic options of validation fail, then other channel will be available to validate the earned badges e.g. by Employers (see Mozilla Open Badge System and GnuPG).

Open Certification Network

Issuing of Badges and Content Development need a network of institutes, departments, universities, agencies or in general educational units that contribute to certification process and/or to the content development. These network of educational units provide the IT infrastructure for issuing and validating the Badges earned by students. Basic requirement will be an Assessment Agreement (AA) that includes  the Open Community Approach.
